About us

Hello! We’re Johnny and Denise Roberts, owners of Manvel Miniature Zebu Cows, a farm located approximately 30 minutes south of Houston off Hwy 288 and Hwy 6 in Manvel, Texas. We are committed to keeping the Miniature Zebu unique breed of cattle thriving in the U.S.A. We do not cross breed any of our Miniature Zebus with other breeds of cattle. Our cattle are registered through the American Miniature Zebu Association (AMZA).

We were looking for cattle and our large-animal vet suggested we check out the Miniature Zebus. We followed his advice and are so happy we did. All of our original cattle here on our farm were purchased from TNT Miniature Zebu Farm in De Leon, Texas. Tom and Teri Culpepper, owners of TNT, were well known breeders in the Miniature Zebu groups.

This particular breed of cattle is not genetically modified and is a small breed. The breed is very heat-tolerant and resistant to ticks and many types of disease. We have a wide variety of colors available in our herd of Miniature Zebus. Check out our photos of the Zebus that will be ready for another pasture.

Miniature Zebus are wonderful as pets on a hobby farm or on small-acreage ranchettes. They are wonderful to watch; they love their treats, which they will eat from your hand, and they will keep you entertained daily.

Zebus are happiest as herd animals. They sleep together in stalls and run together as they play. We love all of our Miniature Zebus.
